LatexEditor DVI viewer not working

I have installed LatexEditor (LEd) on Windows 7 and its in-built DVI viewer does not work. I uninstalled LEd, ghosscript, and MikTex and reinstalled them, but that didn't help.

I tried suggestions from the following links:
http://www.latexeditor.org/download_main.html
http://www.latexeditor.org/how_to_start.html

but couldn't make DVI viewer working. There does not seem to be much information on Internet about LEd.

The cross-jumping between TEX file and the DVI file is the coolest feature of LEd, and it is not working.

I don't have time to do any more investigations, but I might try on my Windows XP box.

Update:
It worked for me!!!

Here is what I did:
After suggestion from ImAn, I went to the LED forum and checked the DVI Viewer section. This post helped me:
LEd 0.52/MikTeX 2.7-I still can't see anything in DVI previe

1. I copied "dvi_miktex27.dll" in "miktex\bin" directory
C:\Program Files>copy LEd\dvi_miktex27.dll "MiKTeX 2.8\miktex\bin"
1 file(s) copied.
2. I put "dvi_miktex27.dll" in "font searching library"

  1. I also having this problem. Which version of MikTex did you install (I tried version 2.8)? I also tried to install texlive instead of MikTex but it also doesn't work.

  2. I used MikTex 2.8. I tried with different versions of Led (0.41, 0.46, 0.50, 0.52) on two different Windows 7 and a Windows XP machine, but none of them worked. I even tried an old binary from my backup disc which used to work on my old (now dead) windows xp box, but it didn't work on any of my current boxes.

  3. I have the same problem. The funny thing is that I can't even set "font searching library" to "dvi_miktex27.dll". Because, although I've done everything exactly based on what's said on their website, I don't get this dll in the drop list!!!!

  4. Go to LEd forum. in DVI viewer section, find the post "Cannot see PSI images". Lokoute in the second last relpy gave a solution. I followed it and it's working for me now.

  5. ImAn, thanks!!!

The dvi previewer is working. I have updated the blog with what I did.

"dvi_miktex27.dll" wouldn't be in the drop list, just type it in the textbox.

  8. Thanks a lot for the tip!

I must add that it works for the file "dvi_miktex28.dll" which is within the LEd\ folder (for anyone using MikTex2.8)

  11. This is the right way to do it. Follow this guy's instructions. Copy those "dvi_miktex27.dll" files from Led folder to your MiKiTex's bin, and change the font search library accordingly. (MiKiTex2.9 user can select "dvi_miktex28.dll", it works fine for me.)

  12. Thanks a lot! I'll write this in spanish here:

Dice, "DVI Viewer - No font file"... ¿Algo más me puede estar faltando?

      Gracias. Fede.
